Al Schroeder

Hi! Nice to see you here. I’m currently a Senior Brand Designer at Opentrons in New York City. I’m a curious UX/UI designer who loves to create and innovate with accessible solutions. My favorite part of the design process is how iterative it is. Deeply passionate about collective liberation, I’m naturally attracted to how design can open the world up for all kinds of people. I love the energy in the room when you’re solving a problem collaboratively and enjoy learning from users during research and testing.

Earlier, I worked on a suite of web and mobile applications at Handoff in an end-to-end process. Before delving into the world of startups, eCommerce, and more established brands, I was a freelance designer for small businesses around the country for over six years.

I’m constantly striving to expand my perspective by staying involved in social justice initiatives in my neighborhood, reading and listening to podcasts, and traveling whenever I get the chance to.

I’m always looking for new folks to chat with about designing a more accessible future. Feel free to reach out.
